Outside of Academia – Tanesha loves to be creative & explore new ways of content creation

Tanesha enjoys creating educational video content about being a Black graduate student in clinical psychology. She also has worked with #BlackinMentalHealth in curating accessible content for their YouTube channel. Tanesha plans to start creating content for Black parents and other parents of color on navigating behavioral problems, racism, and mental health concerns; similarly, she wants to create BIPOC kid and teen-friendly content about mental health in the future.

Outside of academia and mental health, Tanesha enjoys reading fiction novels (to see what she is currently reading check out her goodreads account – click here). She is obsessed with Game of Thrones, Anime, and Marvel. Tanesha is also an amateur gamer, she mainly plays “cozy” games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and SpiritFarer. She enjoys spending time with her family and her doggie, Nemo. Being born on an island, Tanesha LOVES the ocean and the beaches and cannot wait to return to the east coast to enjoy being closer to water.

Renae’s Corner

Tanesha started her Youtube channel in December 2016. She’s been consistently creating content around being a Black woman in academia, graduate school, and things she’s learning as she matures. Check out her Channel below
