Graduate School
Applying to Graduate School
Here are two of my video playlists about graduate school. The one on the left is application help and the one on the right is about Clinical Psychology Generally.
Here are some other graduate school YouTubers talking about applying to graduate school in clinical, counseling, and school psychology.
Maybe You don’t yet feel ready to apply to graduate school! Here are some Post-Baccalaureate Programs that you could do to boost your experiences!
- Hot Metal Bridge Program at University of Pittsburgh! I did this program and it is AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend. This two-semester post-baccalaureate fellowship program is designed to help talented students from groups traditionally underrepresented in their academic disciplines, including first-generation graduate students and those from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, to bridge the gap between an undergraduate degree and a graduate training program. Find out more information here – Hot Metal Bridge.
- The UNC Diversifying Psychology Weekend is an opportunity for ethnic/racial minority undergraduates and recent college graduates invested in pursuing doctoral-level training in psychology and neuroscience. While we encourage all applicants, this program would be most beneficial for those who are planning to apply to graduate school in the near future. Click here for more information – UNC Diversitying Psychology
- You also can apply to Research Assistant/Research Coordinator jobs to boost your experiences as well! Check out this forum, where people post RA and RC positions – click here

Pre-Doctoral Internship
Internship External Links –
- I heavily relied on Dr. Grace Chen’s Internship Application Tips when I was first starting to gear up to apply for internship. If you scroll down on this page – there’s alot of websites and sources of information! https://psychgradcorner.com/internship-application-tips/
- The internship book! I used this book almost every day when I was applying for internship. It’s invaluable! https://www.apa.org/pubs/books/4313052
- Russ and Noah’s Internship Handbooks, also another GEM! I based my internship spreadsheets on thiers and used their free resources! https://psychlabs.colostate.edu/emery/resources/
